My thoughts on gender neutral parenting.
Be sure to catch the “note” at the end of the video.
I want to note that the two cases that were in the media (the parents of Storm and, less recently, Pop) who were engaging in “gender neutral parenting” weren’t what you described as forcing them to only be gender neutral, but rather what you described as good parenting (ie. not forcing them into gender roles and letting them discover their likes/dislikes and gender in their own time/way).
It’s important to note this because a lot of people took the “gender neutral parenting” described in the articles to mean what you labeled it as in the video — forcing kids to only be gender neutral — and that misconception caused them to characterize the situation as something unhealthy for the children.
